Make Your Own Cars Birthday Theme

Has your little boy seen the movie Cars one too many times? Are you looking for an exciting new activity to introduce at your child's next birthday party? Do you want to distract fifteen five year olds for at least thirty minutes?
Then read this simple guide to learn to build a car that small children can ride around in and feel like a race car driver!
For this craft, you'll need a cardboard box, a glue stick, two lightning bolts cut out of yellow construction paper, 5 small plastic plates, some numbers cut out of construction paper, 5 brads (small tacks with bendable ends), and red tissue paper for each child at the party.
Before you begin, using a small knife, poke four holes into the bottom corners of the 'car' where the wheels will go, and another hole where the steering wheel will fit.
First, have the child select a cardboard box that he or she fits inside of, the size is otherwise meaningless for the most part. Then using a glue stick (on the box), help your child paste the red tissue paper on the entire outside of the box to give the illusion that the 'car' is red.
Next, stick the brads into the four holes on the car, and use them in order to attach the four plastic plates as wheels to the car. Do this similarly to attach the 'steering wheel' to the inside of the car.
Finally, use the construction paper decorations in order to fit the car to your child's individual preferences.
In no more than twenty minutes, you'll have all the kids at the party sitting inside their own brand new cars!
