A Dr. Seus Centerpiece Idea
Dr. Seus Blocks Centerpieceby SummerDae(Kona Hawaii)
I am a party queen. I am always the one the family comes to when looking to throw a party. So, my sister in law was so stumped about what to do for her youngest sons birthday, she came to me to come up with ideas.
At first I was a bit stumped myself, but after a short time of really watching him,
I knew exactly what theme I wanted. He loves to read, and his favorite book is " Oh, the thinks, you can think". I also noticed tons of Dr Seus books in his room. I had found my inspiration.
Now all I had to do was figure out how to incorporate it into decorations and centerpieces.I got started right away, I hit Wal-mart but came up with nothing. Believe it or not, I had to find what I was looking for in Borders. Go figure, Dr. Seus in a bookstore...RIGHT!!
I found hard card board toddler Dr.Seus books , and as soon as I saw them, I knew what I wanted to do. I was going to use them to make cardboard blocks, and stack them as you would any other blocks. It was the easiest idea for centerpieces I think I have ever had. I used the pages of different sized books to create different sized blocks.
My sister in law thought I was a genius and was really impressed with my creation! The party turned out really nice, and the centerpieces were a big hit.
